Iron Lung, a game created by David Szymanski in 2022 was made into a movie by famous YouTuber, Markiplier. The movie was released on January 30th, 2026. Today I will give my personal opinion on the movie as someone who isn’t biased or have played/watched any gameplay of Iron Lung before the movie.
The movie starts out a bit confusing since I didn’t fully understand the movie and I didn’t watch trailers, which is totally on me, however after about 20 minutes in the movie I began to put the pieces together and I became fully immersed in the storyline. I enjoyed the movie a lot, despite it being confusing to me. It gave a fun experience since me and my dad were theorizing our interpretation of the movie on the way home.
Speaking of my dad, he was really interested since he watches a lot of movies and he never saw something like this one. I personally give the movie a 9/10 mostly because I was confused, which is on me, but I’m also a bit nit-picky about how the movie ended. It was most likely on purpose, but I just couldn’t help but feel disappointed that it suddenly ended and the credits started rolling.
I definitely recommend watching it, fan of Markiplier or not. I thought his acting was pretty good and the movie was really well made. Even if you have no idea what Iron Lung is, I didn’t either and had a fun time watching it.
