Angela Trejo, Staff Reporter

With “What’s the worst that’s gonna happen?” as staff reporter Angela Trejo’s motto in life, she is willing to do spontaneous things such as sneaking out to walk around her neighborhood with a friend late at night. Like many others, junior Angela is addicted to Tik Tok. She loves watching TikTok and vibing with her friends. Even though she claims to love the color yellow due to the fact that it reminds her of her favorite flower, the sunflower, Trejo admits that subconsciously her favorite color is actually blue. Angela claims this since she is constantly buying things that are blue.

Trejo has been part of the color guard here at the high school since freshman year and has also been part of the newspaper since she came into high school. She first joined the newspaper because, “I wanted to excel more in my writing and thought it would be fun.” Outside of school you can find Angela participating in marching band throughout the first trimester of school and in the last two trimesters she is participating in Northstar.

Her favorite classes include newspaper and science class. Her love for science was sparked in 8th grade when Mr. Southern, from Mountain View Middle School (MVMS), asked if any girls would be willing to do a stem activity at Idaho National Laboratory (INL). It was at this point that Angela was introduced to nuclear engineering and her love for science began. While taking physical science her interest was sparked even more which has led to her wanting to pursue a scientific career. After high school Angela plans to go straight to college at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Angela is the youngest of 7 children and has 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Her role model is her older sister Marcie. To Angela, “Marcie is so strong physically and mentally. She’s also independent and does all these cool sports.” Her favorite story she has written was a wrestling story because it included her older sister.

Something interesting about Trejo is that she is an aunt to someone older than her. She also has a nephew who is turning 20 years old, whereas Angela is only turning 16. She also has two great pyrenees dogs which are her babies. Her dogs names are Yuki, which means snow in Japanese, and Yuri which means lily in Japanese. She loves sloths because they are cute and she loves their way of life. She also loves raccoons and skunks because she thinks they are adorable.
