Angela Trejo, Co Editor in Chief

Over the dates of April 5th to the 7th three of our BHS seniors traveled to Boise, Idaho to compete at state for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) in their chosen field of competition. Our Competitors were Korisa Rider, Maysen Cole, and Gracelynn Phelps each competing in a different segment. Korisa placed second in Fashion Construction and Maysen, although not placing, got silver in Career Investigation. Gracelynn placed first overallĀ  in her event for Early Childhood Education and now has the chance to take her skills and talent to FCCLA Nationals in Denver, Colorado. Along with this, she has signed an intent to major in a Family Consumer Science (FCS) related degree where she will be majoring in Elementary Education.
