May 12, 2026, 99Blackfoot High School opened the doors for food trucks and students were able to spend an hour and 30 minutes walking around and ordering food from many food truck options. Then after lunch all of Blackfoot High school’s clubs started setting up on the football field called the Club Carnival. The Club Carnival is an hour and 15 minutes and students were able to walk around to the different stalls that the clubs have set up and participate in the activities planned.
We asked around Blackfoot Highschool about their experiences on this day and this is what people had to say.
Siggie Broncho: “So basically Tuesday was fun, I got good food, and a tan. Then during the carnival I was at the indigenous club. We were doing spear throwing and it didn’t matter what you did you got a prize, I was the main one on the mic and I had fun laughing with my peers. Laughing is good medicine, so don’t be so serious all the time. Being with my indigenous community made me realize that our people are strong no matter where you come from, the city, the east, or the west. Just remember who you are and where you came from. Staying strong, love, and laughter brings us together from generation to generation. I am proud of all those that helped and participated in the clubs and games.”
Kyrane Beasley: “First I helped a little with setting up the stand for our spear throwing. Then I’d occasionally throw the spears at the target for demonstration so that more would come and play. After some would play they’d leave the spears out, so me and the others would go out and grab the spears. After a while, me and my friend walked around the carnival and checked out the other stalls the clubs had set up. I really enjoyed my time there, though I wish I didn’t have to go to school after a fun day.”
