The Diversity club is a place to socialize with other people with diverse backgrounds and come together as a community. Paul Moore, the club’s advisor, states, “The diversity club is to promote the acceptance of the diversity of others and raise awareness of the importance of school and community.” Moore encourages people to stop by, meet others and have fun activities to do.
Shay, the club president, states, “I believe that the Diversity club was made so that people with different backgrounds can get together and have fun, just because you’re different doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun.” The diversity club has different members, like different backgrounds, abilities, and interests. They do different activities like talent shows, craft fairs, and club carnivals at the end of the year.
A member of the club says that the club is very fun. They state, “My favorite part is the people in our club and doing fun activities that other clubs don’t do.” Members always want to be involved in different fun activities and socialize with one another. The diversity club encourages more people to stop by and enjoy meeting new people and become a part of the community.
