Costco, we’ve all heard of it. A magical place that sells a variety of products. This can range from pre-packaged food, to tires. But we’re not here to talk about that. We’re here to review some of the items in their food court.
Starting with my favorite item, the cold brew caramel freeze. While not technically food, this is my number one drink at Costco. It’s been compared to the Caramel Frappe at Starbucks by other Costco shoppers, and I can see the resemblance. It’s not too bitter, but not too sweet with a strong caramel flavor. I give this item a 10/10.
Now, the second item, the chicken bake. Personally, I don’t find chicken in general very appeasing. However, the chicken bake wasn’t too bad to my surprise. While I was cautious, I didn’t find anything insanely wrong with it. I noticed that the chicken was oddly pink, however. It kind of reminded me of canned chicken, and I wasn’t too sure how to feel about that. It didn’t make me sick, but I had a hard time eating this item seeing the color of the actual chicken. This is why I give the chicken bake a rating of 5/10.
Saving the pizza for the last item, my least favorite thing at the Costco food court. I don’t like pizza, but I don’t hate it. It’s not my first choice out of the food items, but I would probably eat some if I was hungry enough, and if it was my only option. The pizza at Costco has enough grease and cheese to suffocate my arteries to the point of death. While the taste of the Costco pizza wasn’t too bad, I didn’t miss the slight coat of grease in my mouth after a bite. For these reasons I give the costco pizza a 4/10.
The Costco food court is a great option for a cheap and quick snack while shopping. Would I ever go out of my way to go to Costco only for the food court? Absolutely not. I give the Costco food court a rating of 6/10, with more items that are just “meh”.
