Mykah Plesner, Staff Reporter
The beautiful Mykah Plesner was born on May 26, 2002. She is a senior this year at Blackfoot High School (BHS). Plesner is very creative; when she has time, she likes to draw, paint, and take/edit photos. Her passion for design leads her to her dream career. Plesner says that she wants to be a graphic designer or do something in graphic art. Her creativity also flows into her work on the school newspaper, which she has been a part of for 3 years now designing creative pages. Plesner says that her favorite part of the newspaper is designing the double truck—the double truck in the newspaper is usually the middle page and consists of two pages rather than one like the rest of the newspaper. Her favorite stories to write in newspaper class are features, which are stories about specific individuals or clubs. Plesner says that her favorite subject is English because she likes to write, which also explains why her favorite elective is newspaper.
Plesner is the only child in her family, but they do have two dogs, one of which is a border collie-lab mix and the other a German Shepherd. Plesner says a color that describes her is “light pink”, she describes herself as kind and shy and she feels that is what the color light pink represents; she also says that the color light pink is a soft color and that’s also how she views herself. For Plesner’s senior trip she is going to New York, and she says she is really excited and she wants to see the Statue of Liberty. Another place Plesner says she would like to visit is Hawaii, because it’s really pretty. She also says that she’s always wanted to drink out of a coconut on the beach. Plesner says that her favorite teacher is either Gerardi, because she pushes her to improve on things, or Chuck Reay because he is a lot of fun and “he tells a lot of stories”. An interesting fact about Plesner is that her least favorite food is spaghetti because she doesn’t like noodles, she says she’s a really picky eater.
