Aalaurah Talbot is 16 years old and attends Blackfoot High School currently as a Junior year student. She loves to work on her progress at school whether it comes to grades, projects, or working on her favorite subject, Yearbook, she is determined to do her best. Aalaurah’s favorite elective throughout her years as a student was greenhouse, describing it as a, “Fun and very educational experience”.

One thing she’s learned throughout her years in school is that, “Slacking off and not giving effort really hurts you over time as you progress in school. I entered my freshman year of high school without taking school work, projects, and overall grades seriously, I would not pay attention or even give much effort, although I didn’t see it at first, I learned over time that it seriously affected me in terms of grades and as a person”. According to her, this is one of the biggest reasons her freshman year was bad. “Sophomore year was when I decided that I should pull it together and actually give effort and pay attention to my classes.” This is evident as she later described her sophomore year as a time where she worked much harder than the previous year. “My sophomore year overall was fine, but it was definitely a lot better than my freshman year.” Although Aalaurah has just started junior year, she describes it as a nice year so far.

As a person who has grown, she has definitely changed from a careless and slacking person, to a much better and focused young lady who definitely is aiming towards amazing goals. “My personal goal is to graduate high school with good grades and study in college to become an Archeologist.” And when asked why she is aiming towards that particular career, she responded with, “I really love and find it very interesting going out to nature in hopes of searching and excavating for something undiscovered.” A silly question that was asked towards Aalaurah was that if she could change something about school, what would she change? And she replied with, “I would definitely change the duration of every class.” Based on that, it seems like she wants classes to be shorter.

Moving on from school, Aalaurah is quite a kind and quiet person. “I like to hang out with my friends and drive around whenever I can. Another certain activity she enjoys doing outside of school is going longboarding. “I describe myself as a person with a lot of mixed emotions, I always show when I’m happy, sad, and angry.” Aalaurah says she does not look up to anyone for the moment. When asked what are some of her favorite things she responded with, “My favorite series is The Office, a favorite music artist of mine is Joji, my favorite song from him is Yukon (Interlude). My favorite animals are parrots and owls too.” Interestingly enough, when asked about what things she disliked, she replied with,“ I dislike Dual Lipa and what I really dislike and annoys me the most is when I enter bathrooms and there are people just standing there doing nothing in the mirror.”

Another interesting thing about Aalaurah is that she believes in paranormal activity, “I have had personal experiences with the paranormal that make me believe in them.” Aalaurah also wishes superpowers could become a reality, that would be really amazing but also scary if put in the wrong hands. Finally, says she wishes to travel to Russia and Switzerland. “I really want to travel to Russia to get to know the area, people, and culture, while also going to Chernobyl to see a tragic piece of history. Switzerland looks really nice and interesting too.”

In conclusion, Aalaurah is quite a talented young lady that has joined our amazing roster of members, every new member here at the Broncwriter is one step closer to greatness. Aalaurah will not only do her best inside and outside of school, but she will definitely do her best here at the Broncwriter. Aalaurah has definitely grown as a person from freshman year to this current junior year, and she’ll definitely grow even more as the year progresses.
