Eloise Lonchampt is a 17 year old girl from Paris, France. Some of Eloise’s favorite things are cats, pop music, and movies. Her favorite song is, “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez. Her favorite movie is Harry Potter and her role model would be her mom. Her favorite holiday would be Christmas and her most favorite season is summer. One big pet peeve of hers is when people act superior to others. When asked why she wanted to study abroad she said that she “has always enjoyed other languages”and that her family went to England, and  so it became her dream to travel and be a student in a different country for a year.

The biggest cultural shock she said she had here is, “Everyone here has a car and can drive. In France, we can’t drive until we are 18”. If she could only eat one meal for the rest of her life, she said she would eat fries. One of Her biggest fears is death. The one family vacation that she loved was when she was traveling throughout Europe; while she was traveling, she went to Greece with her family and friends. Her favorite things to do in her free time are drama club and hanging out with her family; when she’s in France, she likes to dance. She says this school is a lot different than the one in France. In France, they have more school time, and they don’t get to change their classes, they all remain in the same class all day. She also mentioned that the teachers here are different and that sports are very important here, unlike in France.

Some stuff she likes about Blackfoot High School is the mood, how everyone here is nice, and sometimes she feels like she’s in a movie. New foods she has tried are cinnamon rolls and Mexican food. Due to her adventurous nature to try cinnamon rolls, they are now her favorite food. Her favorite thing about Idaho, so far, would be the potatoes and Bear Lake. Eloise spends her weekends visiting family, going on bike rides, playing games, and going to church on Sundays. When asked if she would ever switch lives with someone she said “probably a rich person”. Three words she would use to describe herself are: sensitive,adventurous, and genius.
