The 2024-2025 Cross Country season has taken off! The runners chosen to run on this year’s team are some of the best. Mr. Loomis said that this year, there were lots of underdogs.
This year you can find the Cross Country team competing in various locations. On October 9, 2024, they will be in Firth running for the school. Some other places they’ll be competing at are Burley, Idaho Falls, and Boise.
Athletes who were never before seen as runners joined the team and have shown everyone what it’s all about. Loomis said the following, “The underdogs are the ones that are putting in the most struggle.”
It’s cool to watch the more skilled athletes run, but it’s still cool to see the “underdogs” struggle and put everything into it. That’s why the runner that comes in last gets the loudest cheer. Takes a lot of guts.
This year it looks like the team will have some good runs and bring Blackfoot High School a good reputation. The XC team has about one meet every week on varying days.
