My Paradise

Short Story by Gracie G, 10.
 My Paradise

The world is quiet, the only sound is the snow softly falling to the ground. My cheeks are rosy and cold to the touch, but it doesn’t bother me. I breathe in the crisp air, and out a warm fog. I stay nice and cozy bundled up in my puffy jacket. My only companion is my loyal dog , he too is at peace with the cold. We walk side by side, the only sound being the snow crackling under our feet.

I could stay out in this cold wonderland forever.

The bare trees are beautiful, covered in frost. Every once in a while the wind whistles and I swear I can hear the ghosts of the night.

We keep walking through the crunchy snow, till we have finally found home. There I can cuddle into my favorite blanket, with a cup of coco and watch all of the classic holiday specials. I wish things could be this way forever.
