On the day of April 18th 2023, a 2-year-old dog by the name of Pearl was confirmed by her vet and the Guinness World Records to be the worlds smallest dog! Pearl measures up a total of 3.59 in height, and her head is 5 inches. Pearl also happens to come from a family of super small dogs, including her ancestor Miracle Milly being the last holder for the world’s shortest dog. As per tradition when measuring any size of dog the veterinarian’s office used a measuring wicket, which was then measured from the bottom of the foot to between shoulder blades.
