Since the year is almost over and a lot of you are becoming sophomores, juniors and seniors here are some things you should think about and start doing this summer. Here are somethings I found that scholarship opportunities look for: Community service, getting jobs, trying to get awards and raising your grades. These are all crucial for scholarships and getting into good colleges.

In the summer you should try getting job and doing community service projects. The reason why you should be doing this is because colleges love people who work and help out the community. It shows you have responsibilities.

Try doing everything you can to get awards. Participate in different things just to get that little certificate. When people pick out scholarships they pick out the ones who participated in everything and anything. It makes you look good.

Lastly, I cannot stress enough. You need to get good grades. Turn your papers in, listen to the teachers and study for test. Because some scholarships you have to have a certain GPA. So get good grades so you can apply for almost all Scholarships.
