Mrs.Secol-Hall is a new Special-Education Para at Blackfoot High School this school year! She got her bachelor’s degree in social work at Brigham Young University Idaho in Rexburg. Before coming to Idaho for college she lived in Massachusetts. She attended Assabet High School in Massachusetts where she got her Certified Nursing Assistant license and was active in her school doing cheerleading and volleyball.
When she was attending college she didn’t deviate from her first choice career path which was elementary education which quickly changed to social work and is now working on becoming a certified teacher. She chose this specific career path because it allows her to be a mother to her 4 children and be active in their lives where not many other jobs enable that decision. One of her children has also been the reason that she has pursued her work because she has a child who has some special needs and “seeing how much people were able to help her to reach where she is academically” has inspired her in unique ways that she hadn’t imagined before. Outside of her life at school Cassie Secol-Hall enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially when her family can sit down and put together a puzzle.
Mrs.Secol-Hall is loving her new job here at Blackfoot High and especially loving the kids that she is helping and her coworkers. Her favorite part of her job in fact is the kids she works with and learning about each kid individually and how she can help each one. If she could give advice to the other teachers at BHS she would tell them that they shouldn’t hesitate to ask questions because the other staff members are willing to help anyone. To the students of Blackfoot she would like to say that they should all pursue life and not live with regrets. She wants to be remembered at Blackfoot in a positive light with the message that “no matter what happens in life you can overcome it.”
