Sky Cox

Sky Cox, Staff Reporter

Sky Cox (he/they) is a junior this year at Blackfoot High School(BHS). The reason(s) Cox joined the newspaper club/class this year is because he likes to write and wanted to try something new. Another club that he participates in is the Diversity club, a new club created here at BHS. He thoroughly enjoys art and poetry, and when asked what his favorite school subject would be, he said he would choose a creative writing or art elective. Cox also says that he likes to play the guitar in his free time.

Cox has 9 siblings, 4 of which are still at home, as well as 2 exchange students living with them. When asked who he thought was his parents’ favorite child, he responded with an ephemeral “Me”, but after some consideration, also added the possibility of the favorite child being his youngest brother. Cox says that his first word as a child was “mine”. Along with having 9 siblings, Cox also has 6 pets, consisting of a cat (Milo), 3 dogs (Indiana, Buddy, Toby), and 2 birds (Heckle and Jeckle). The music genre that he enjoys is Hard Rock, with his favorite band being the Black Veil Brides & Andy Black. Cox says that his favorite food is sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. He also says that he is more introverted when it comes to adults, and more extroverted when it comes to younger people as well as people he knows.

His favorite movies are the Pirates of the Caribbean series and the Hunger Games series. When asked if he liked to party, Cox replied that he does, in fact, like to party; Cox says that he is unable to do a flip though. Cox likes to play video games, his favorite video games being Resident Evil, COD, and other games in the horror genre. Cox says that his favorite meme is the meme where the crying women are pointing in accusation at a cat sitting at a table across from them, where the cat looks to be in an annoyed state of denial. Cox’s favorite time of the year is at the very end of spring, “where the temperatures are perfect and it starts to rain”. He doesn't have any favorite wars from history, but he does find World War II to be interesting. If faced with the situation where he had to defend themself against a gang of small children, he would choose a tennis racquet as his melee weapon. The inspiration behind this choice was from his own childhood where he played tennis. He has retired from that sport for the time being.
