Editorial Policy

The BroncWriter is governed by the same legal rights as the professional press. Under the First Amendment, we reserve the right to free expression and freedom of the press. This newspaper is a public forum for the students of Blackfoot High School and the community of Blackfoot, Idaho. The editorial board will make all decisions concerning content and is not subject to prior review by administration, faculty or community members. Unsigned editorials express the views of the majority of the editorial board. Letters to the editor must be signed, although the staff may withhold the name up request. All letters are subject to law governing obscenity, libel, privacy and disruption of the learning process, as are all contents of the paper.

Opinions in letters are not necessarily those of the staff, nor should an opinion expressed in a public forum be constructed as opinion or policy of the administration, unless so attributed. We reserve the right to edit opinions and/or letters to the editor with the sole purpose of fitting space. Note: Your message will remain unchanged.
