Stranger Things Season Two is worth the watch

If you enjoyed Stranger Things first season you will definitely enjoy Stranger Things Season Two!  Just like Season One, Season Two has lots of shrills and thrills.

Two new characters Max(played by Sadie Sink) and Billy(played by Dacre Montgomery) are introduced who bring new personalities into the show. I particularly enjoyed the character Max because I thought she was a pretty accurate interpretation of most tomboys.  She added a lot of spunk and sass to the group.

Another character added was Bob(played by Sean Astin). He represents all the good and innocence of genuine people. One of my favorite things about this season was when Bob came to visit Joyce and saw the tunnels Will had sketched out all over the house. Most people would have freaked out saying that the Byers were crazy. However Bob doesn’t question it and even helps them to find the specific locations of the tunnels in the town.  This leads to the rescue of the sheriff who was trapped in the tunnels.

Steve is one of my favorite things about this season because he changes from a self-centered jock to a caring, sacrificing person.  He decides to help Dustin track down Dart rather than serve his own agenda. He shows his new caring nature when he gives Dustin dating and hair advice.  When Nancy picks Jonathan, Steve chooses to step down and respect her choice rather than getting angry, which is what he would have done before his transformation.

I was impressed with the actors’ portrayals of characters, but I was particularly impressed with Noah Schnapps who plays Will. He truly showed what it is like to go through trauma and pain. He made me believe he was in unbearable pain when he got sick.

Something I really didn’t enjoy was episode seven. This episode focused on Eleven’s lost sister from Hawkins. Although this episode did bring about pertinent information to the rest of the season, I didn’t think it was relevant enough to spend a full episode on.  In most of the episodes, the focus shifts between many different plot lines and characters  which helps to bring about intenseness and diversity. However, in episode seven the perspective does not shift very often and only focuses on Eleven which  made the episode dull and unvaried.

Despite episode 7, Stranger Things Season Two is definitely worth watching, so set some time aside for this weekend because once you start you won’t want to stop!
