The varsity girls’ soccer team goes 0-15-1 in season so far. Though with 0 wins, 15 losses, and 1 tie this season the team continues to work hard.
Through out the season, the girl soccer team battled in their games, getting so close to victory in their tie against Preston and their games against Burly. Jada Thurgood (9) said that they could improve on their passing, but a good strength of theirs is their team bond.
Thurgood said the team’s hardest match was probably against IF, which has a record of 10-3-3, but their worst loss was against Skyline, which scored 11 goals . Daniela Carrillo said that the team could be better at not giving up, but Carrillo also listed their strengths she said, “I think our strengths are probably good communication skills and our positivity with each other.”
Sounds like, despite their struggles to win this season, they were still connected. Another girl on the soccer team, Madison Stone (12) stated a similar thing, saying, “I think team bonding was a big thing we haven’t had that in a while, we just had an overall respect for each other, and pushing each other to be better was a big thing.”
It also seems like the team still had good goals. Stone voiced, “My best game, I think, was our first burley game since I got a pretty cool goal off of it.”
Though winning was a struggle, the girls’ soccer team bonded throughout the season and is ready for next year.
