With a new year means new student council. The freshman class president, Brayden Noble and his advisors, Savannah Walker (Vice President) and Dexter Hansen (Senator) express their goals and motives for this year and explain why they wanted to be a part of the student council.
Noble voiced his goals, “to not only impress the freshman student body but myself and everyone around me, and to make everything fun.” He said that he planned to achieve these goals by being a good example as president and listening to others suggestions and ideas. Hansen’s goals aligned with Noble’s words; he said that his main goal for this year was “to make it as fun as possible.”
As the new Freshman student council president, Noble also stated that the freshman student body could assist him in his position by stating their ideas to him, and he pointed out that student council was important, “because there has to be people that always lead, because without a leader this all would be a mess.”
Finally, he expressed that he wanted to be a part of the student council because he enjoys being around other people who are leaders, “I love being around people like me who are leaders and are striving to be leaders, natural born leaders,” while Senator Hansen pointed that he liked being in student council because of friends in their.
Noble finished the interview by saying, “I love you Mom.”
Vice President Walker was asked the same questions she answered, stating, “My goals for Freshman class vice president is to help out and help our class be successful.” She explained that she will achieve these goals with the help of the student body, and that they could support her by helping out with things the student council has planned.
Walker answered the last question, “Why do you think the student council is important?” with, “I think that student council is important because we help with all the school activities and try to make the school better.”
Looks like we will have a great freshman student council team this year. They all have good goals and want to make the school a better place. See you next time on the Broncwriter.
