Hot takes, the official definition of the term, according to Meriem-Webster, is “a quickly produced, strongly worded, and often deliberately provocative or sensational opinion or reaction.”
People all have different hot takes; one of mine is that pants shouldn’t be tucked into cowboy boots. I have various reasons for this hot take, other than that it looks wrong.
According to Sayville Foot Care, tucking pants into boots can actually harm and ruin circulation in your legs. This is mostly due to people tucking their jeans into their boots, which cuts off blood flow. That can cause damage later on.
Some people might say that the pants’ legs get in the way of work, but most of the time they’re too tight or too short to get into the way. It also looks horribly wrong, and I’d assume most people would agree with me on that. I personally also never tuck my pants into my shoes because it feels uncomfortable; the fabric is constantly rubbing on your ankles or socks every time your shoe moves.
I’m sure most people who tuck in their pants would agree that I hate how wrinkled the fabric looks when it’s tucked in. The pants also start to bunch up at the ends, which is by no means fun to fix, and unroll when it comes to the strict material of jeans.
