The Hispanic Cultural Showcase is about people from all ages, and from all around being able to perform their culture. It gives other people the opportunity to learn and understand their culture better while doing fun activities. This event unites the community, and inspires people to learn more about culture.
On May 14, 2025, the Hispanic Cultural Showcase was held at the BPAC at 6 P.M. They hold this event every year nearing the end of the school year. Several people were involved in helping organize the event. People at the Irving Kindergarten Center also helped and participated in this event. This isn’t a club related event because anyone can come and join if they want to.
Denise Corona Camacho (11) went to this event and participated in three of the dances. She says she was most excited to show her family.
Her friend from Guatemala also participated in the event, and Camacho said that she was excited to show her friend her culture but was also nervous as to what she thought of it. Camacho said, “Luckily she loved it and is willing to join next year.”
Camacho also says that anyone is allowed to participate. “Anyone can join, if they’re not in our school, any age, gender, race, and nationality is allowed to join.”
The Hispanic Cultural Showcase unites many communities by involving many people. It gives people the opportunity to learn, while having fun. It inspires many to be involved in the community, and showing others kindness.
