After 20 years of dedication, we’re saying goodbye to Mrs Stevenson as she takes off on her well-deserved retirement. We sat down with her to reflect on her time here and what the future holds.
Mrs Stevenson shared that she’s going to miss her colleagues, the other teachers, and the students, enjoying the community atmosphere. When asked about what she won’t miss, she said, “Disrespectful kids or whenever they are disrespectful.” She shared that she has seen big changes, especially with AI and computer technology. Overall, she loved her time here with only good things to say.
So what’s on the horizon for Mrs. Stevenson? She’s looking forward to traveling and working on projects she put aside. She’s also planning to revisit old hobbies like playing the guitar.
Mrs Stevenson hopes her students will remember her as a fair, honest, hard-working person. Teaching has been a significant part of her life, calling her job her “Home away from home” and her “Second family.” Her biggest accomplishment? Being qualified to teach her dual enrollment class.
We are so grateful for Mrs Stevenson’s dedication and the positive impact she’s had on countless students over the years. We wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.
