Blackfoot High School held their annual prom dance on April 19th, 2025. It was hosted at the Snake River Landing Waterfront in Idaho Falls from 8:30 to 11:30 PM. It was a party of the ages with everyone bringing high energy and fun.
Planned by staff member Chris Loomis and the junior class presidency, the theme was based on a popular Kanye West song, “Flashing Lights.” The decor demonstrated this with disco balls and flower arrangements that had fairy lights that Loomis and students put together.
Prom royalty was crowned around 10:30 that night. Prince/Princess and King/Queen were decided based on the voting of the junior class and senior class students, respectively. Molly Whyte (11) and Michael Scott (11) were the Princess and Prince, while Lilian Robertson (12) and Nash Lindsay (12) were crowned Queen and King. They were all given crowns/tiaras and had a slow dance.
When asked how it felt to win with his girlfriend, Lindsay said that “it’s like a movie and we are the main characters.”
Additionally, the popular company Sodamix was catering, offering free drinks and cookies to those attending.
Prom was a fun night for many and will live in the memories of all those who went.
