Florida trailed by as many as 12 points over the game before a late second-half push to secure a victory over the Houston Cougars. This is Florida’s first appearance in the final since their consecutive victory in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and Houston’s first appearance in the final since 1984, when they were a runner-up to Georgetown University.
The city of Gainesville will be partying for a while as they celebrate their team’s victory.
