On March 6th, Juniors and Seniors went on a field trip to the ISU Tech Expo. Before the trip to the expo, the school held an assembly in the auditorium where students were told to go with their advisory teachers and we were assigned a bus.
Afterwards, students were given a brief period of time to look around at the booths before the announcer declared that it was time to go. Students walked down stairs to reach the main area where all the stations were.
Students could check out and see the stations including the fire department, police department, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, etc.
During the expo there were many activities to do like crushing up smarties along with having students create their own hand sanitizer in the pharmacy technician booth and tug of war activity in the fire department booth. One of the most popular stations from what was seen was the cosmetics booth, with the activity correlating to it being getting your nails painted or getting hair tinsels.
During the Tech Expo, advisors told students who were interested about it on what credits or what was required to take the course. In the end, the announcer called out Blackfoot High School that it was time to go with the students leaving through the inflated tiger head where they loaded up on the buses to head back home.
