Aiden Austin is one of our new freshmen at Blackfoot High School! He is an outgoing and kind person.
Austin enjoys singing, driving, and playing the piano in his free time. He is part of one of BHS’s choirs, and he signs for church choirs on occasion. He also plays the piano for his church, as he enjoys learning interesting arrangements of hymns that enhance how complex and pretty they sound. He is well versed with the piano, having taken lessons for nearly 8 years.
Austin is involved with BHS’s Cross Country and Track teams, along with our NHS club. One of his proudest achievements in high school thus far has been his Cross Country PRs, improving substantially throughout the entire season. He started Cross Country when one of his friends “peer pressured” him into it. “…he had been trying to get me to run for a long time, and I tried Track in middle school, and this year was my first year doing Cross Country and then I loved it.”
Another one of Austin’s achievements is his participation in a National History Day Competition. He went to Boise with a presentation about how nuclear reactors changed history and ended up securing both third place and some scholarships!
Austin is the eldest of four siblings, and has a cat named Milo, who is a “devil.” His favorite candies are caramels, and his favorite food is stew.
He wants to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA and honors, after which he plans on serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and then hopefully attending either BYU-I, BYU, or ISU to study nuclear engineering!
And that, ladies and gents, is the Aiden Austin, part of the future of BHS, in a wrap!
