President Donald Trump has issued numerous executive orders which will impact government policies since taking office again in January of 2025. These orders mostly focus on federal power, regulations, and immigration. President Trump is mostly focusing on immigration.
According to the Whitehouse.gov, “President Trump will take bold action to secure our border and protect American communities. This includes ending Biden’s catch-and-release policies, reinstating Remain in Mexico, building the wall, ending asylum for illegal border crossers, cracking down on criminal sanctuaries, and enhancing vetting and screening of aliens.”
His policies also reduce benefits for unauthorized immigrants and reduce money for sanctuary communities. Another regulation that has become controversial is the limits on the number of Afghan refugees, even those who provided assistance to the U.S. military. In an effort to eliminate laws that might be unconstitutional or hinder businesses, Trump has also mandated a review of federal regulations.
According to his administration, this will increase economic expansion. Trump’s goals are seen in these executive actions, which continue to cause national discussion.
