Singing Flower Grams at Blackfoot High School was a very fun way to receive a gift and get a song. It all started when Kelsey Bender approached Mr. Dunbar with the idea of gifting flowers while others were singing. Mr. Dunbar enjoyed the idea and decided to hop on board with it. The tradition at Blackfoot High School has been a fun experience for everyone.
Mrs. Alvarez helps with the flowers now. The options you could’ve chosen from were a long-stem rose, a premium arrangement that came with a bow, and some greenery. A deluxe is the same thing as the premium but with some filler flowers. You could also get three extra large flower sizes small, medium, large, and extra large. It took her around 3 days or so for them to be made. If Mrs. Alvarez could choose any flower to make with these grams, she would have chosen a dahlia.
Mr. Dunbar introduced the story of how it all happened. He assigns both groups, boys, and girls, to do a song differently each year. This year the boys sang “My Girl” and the girls did “Mr. Sandman”. Those who participated in singing took about 8 rehearsals to practice for this. The flowers were beautiful and the singing was amazing. What more could top off for a cute singing flower gram?
