It’s no surprise that people say that Super Bowl ads are falling off. I mean it already is terrible that we have to see the Chiefs and the Eagles (what an eyesore) but last year’s felt mediocre with very few bright spots. I mean who wants to see fifteen Temu ads again? So, for the people, I’m going to say the ads that were instant classics and the ones that don’t deserve to be shown ever again.
The Very Best and Brightest
Bud Light Lawn Chair Guys
This is going to be biased but it’s a 10 out of 10 simply because it has 2 of my favorite people in it, Shane Gillis and Post Malone.
Final score 10/10
Mountain Dew Seal Man
I loved this ad purely because of how random it is. I love that the seal-human man is just screaming that he likes Mountain Dew
Final score 8/10
Kanye Yeezy ad
I’ll support this man no matter what he says or does, and also because his unpredictability is a really nice change of pace from other celebrities.; Kanye keeps it real and says what’s on his mind no matter if we support him or not.
Final score Graduation/10
The 0/10’s
Women’s flag football
This ad felt like it was trying to prove a point no one cared about, and by that, I mean women’s flag football, and how they’re just as good as men. They showed off some 80’s bullies which no one cares about anymore, and then tried to compete with some 15-year-old girls. Obviously, the girls win (if you can’t outrun a 45-year-old man, there’s something wrong with you, man or woman).
Final verdict 0/10
Tubi Skin Hats
I’m going to keep it short and sweet, this ad was terrible because of how unsettling it was, the humor was alright, but ultimately the hats made of skin made it unwatchable
Final verdict 2/10
Snoop Dogg Anti-hate
Snoop Dogg and Tom Brady going back and forth on why they hate certain people doesn’t move me. I feel it would have been better if they showed everyday common people, who experience hate more often than celebrities would have made a really good ad, but instead, we got this.
Final verdict 3/10
