Although Wicked had won for best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, many were upset that neither Ariana Grande or Cynthia Erivo won any awards for that night. I agree, the film and actors in the film went through years of work and it took them lots of stunts that they did themselves but both actresses took their loss in stride and congratulated the winners. I personally think that Wicked should have won a lot more awards and that they should have been recognized for its efforts and hardwork.
However, many were excited that Zendaya and Tom Holland got engaged. They announced this in a professional way, with Zendaya showing off the ring on the Red Carpet. Although, neither have officially confirmed that the rumors were true nor false.
Another event that had happened that night was Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s reunion. Anthony Mackie had crashed his interview holding a rose for Stan. Both men were excited to see each other again, also hinting at new marvel content while at the Golden Globes.
Many losses and many winners of the night went home in a happy mood especially because of the buzz of the night and the excitement that followed them. Lots of announcements were made and lots of work is in the making for the next movies, series, musicals and the next Golden Globes.
