GNX, the new album Kendrick Lamar produced, came out on November 22, 2024. It features people like SZA, dody6, lefty gunplay, wallie the sensei, siete7x, roddy ricch, azchike, hitta j3, youngthreat, and payoh. This album has 12 songs in total, “squabble up” being the song with the most streams. However, is this album a bop or flop?
Lamar always comes out with really good songs, whether they be disses or his regular rap. This album, in my opinion, is one of his best. His songs in the album have such good rhythm and lyrics.
While the songs don’t tell a story in order, it shows a lot about his personality and what it’s like to be under such a hot spotlight. Lamar’s song “reincarnated” is a good example of this. It goes back and forth between two different personalities, one trying to explain that he’s a good person, and the other telling him he only did it to put a good light on him as a person.
I think that this album has displayed what it is like to be an artist while having a good beat. Lamar had always been good at doing such. He kept it real while displaying that not everyone has a good background and that he is a person too; no matter how many followers he might have.
