Venom: The Last Dance was a disappointment. I feel like Sony forgot the whole concept of Venom. The chaotic action and humor that made Eddie and Venom funny are gone. Instead they were replaced by a moody and overly serious tone that doesn’t suit the characters.
Tom Hardy tries to bring his usual energy but not even that can save this slowly paced story the villains are bland and the action lacks excitement. The bond between Eddie and Venom was full of humor and chaos in the last 2 movies but now their relationship feels almost forced.
Overall, Venom: The Last Dance is way too serious, and missing the humor venom fans love. Instead of ending on a high note, it was serious and sad which doesn’t capture the spirit of the character.
