The Blackfoot Indigenous club is one of the school’s most popular. Known for its involvement with the Fort Hall area and events such as their craft fair and heritage week, it’s not hard to see why.
The club’s membership has been on a rise for the past three years with seemingly more members every year. The club primarily focuses on more communal activities and representation compared to the other majority of clubs which gives the members a sense of giving back to the community through showing what they have to offer.
The club has its Fort Hall craft fair in December and its Powwow in May, so if you want to see what the club does, or is involved in those would be the perfect opportunities to do so.
In an interview with Lyla Wesaw (11), a member of the club, about what they enjoy about doing in the club, she had this to say. “I really like just getting out (and) showing people what the club is really about, and just helping people.”
If you’re struggling to join a club, or just want to expand your interests, the BHS Indigenous club would be a great one to join.
