In the past three seasons, Blackfoot’s varsity soccer team has been on a dramatic rise for Blackfoot High School that culminated in a 12-5-1 record just last season, yet some students here have no idea that we even have a soccer team.
Blackfoot has gone on an impressive streak in the past six years, but some players believe that the team is underrepresented in Blackfoot athletics. In an interview with player Giordani Labra (11), he had this to say about their representation and team strength.
“Do you believe that the soccer teams are under-represented especially when compared to other fall sports like football?”
“Yes it seemed like last year, even when they were bad, it seems like there were more fans at their games than even at our championship game,” Labra said.
“Our last season was really impressive and we are hoping to build on it,” Labra said.
Blackfoot Varsity Soccer is currently 9-2-2 so far and looks like they’re going to continue their trend of impressive seasons.
